Make the release checklist useful before the send.

Start with the Australian campaign guide, then use a clear audience, review and timing record for the markets your campaign actually reaches.

Give the release one accountable owner

A campaign can be technically ready while its audience, schedule or review decision is still unclear. Prepare a release record that names the campaign purpose, target group, sender identity, destination page and person responsible for the final decision. Keep the version reviewed by that person attached to the record.

Use aggregate audience counts in shared planning notes. The evidence explaining why individual contacts may receive a message belongs in your controlled records. A checklist should help the team find missing decisions; checking every box is not a substitute for evidence or a legal review.

Use the Australian campaign checklist

Australia: pre-send review

Work through permission context, sender information, unsubscribe testing and campaign release preparation.

Review the recipient’s date and time

Write the intended time zone next to the launch time, not in a separate document someone may miss. If the audience spans time zones, decide whether to use separate releases or one shared moment, and explain that choice. Verify seasonal clock changes for the actual date rather than reusing an old schedule.

Review date formats in the subject, email body and landing page together. An event reminder should make the location and relevant local time clear. For an online event, the destination page should help the recipient interpret the time without relying on a vague morning or evening reference.

Test the journey beyond the template

Open the actual destination links, confirm the reply address and test the unsubscribe experience using your controlled test accounts. Review the message with images unavailable and on a narrow screen. The essential offer and next action should remain understandable without decorative imagery.

Before a repeat campaign, check whether the previous suppression export, sender details or offer conditions have changed. Reusing a template can save preparation work, but it should not silently reuse an outdated audience decision. Give the reviewer a concise list of changes since the last release.

Separate cost estimation from release approval

Hosted delivery uses the included monthly allowance. Connected own-server sending is available from €12/month, with no monthly platform email quota for messages actually sent through the connected server. VPS charges are separate; capacity, provider policies, warm-up, safety checks, fair use and other plan limits apply.

The calculator can estimate subscription and server cost from your inputs. It does not verify that a server can deliver a chosen volume, approve a sender or guarantee an inbox result. Finish the operational review for your route before scheduling the campaign. Use current guidance for each recipient market when a campaign extends beyond Australia.

Questions & answers

Does the Australian guide cover every country in Oceania?

No. The published country guide focuses on Australia. For another country, review the relevant current guidance and adapt the operational checklist to the actual recipient context.

Will the worksheet automatically choose the best send time?

No. It records your planning decision. Choose and verify the date and time using your audience knowledge and the actual time zones involved.

Is completing a checklist a guarantee of compliance or delivery?

No. A checklist organizes review tasks. Your actual evidence, applicable rules and technical sending configuration still need to be evaluated.
